5 REASONS TO LOVE THE 2022 OUTLANDER

The Mitsubishi Outlander received a big update for the 2022 model year. It has a whole new exterior look, upgrades in the cabin, and new technology and connectivity features. The latest version of the Outlander comes with more safety technology than before, and it has an improved steering system that makes it easier to drive and handle. Take a look at the new and improved 2022 Outlander.

    1. MODELS

The 2022 Outlander comes in five trim levels. The base ES starts the lineup with 18-inch wheels and LED headlights, while one step up to the SE gets you 20-inch wheels, LED fog lights, a hands-free liftgate, and heated side mirrors. The SE Launch Edition adds a power panoramic sunroof, puddle lamps, and a chrome hood badge, or you can choose the SEL or SEL Launch Edition for upgrades in the cabin.

    2. ENGINE

The 2022 Outlander comes with just one engine. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine puts out 181 horsepower and generates 181 pound-feet of torque. This is up 15 horsepower from the previous Outlander and up 19 pound-feet of torque. Mitsubishi connects the engine to its CVT, and most trims come with front-wheel drive and offer all-wheel drive. The SEL Launch Edition is the only model to come standard with all-wheel drive. When properly equipped, the Outlander can tow up to 2,000 pounds.

    3. TECHNOLOGY

An 8-inch infotainment touch screen comes standard, and every Outlander has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with two USB ports, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker stereo system. A 9-inch touch screen is available, and depending on the trim, you can get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, a wireless smartphone charging pad, HD radio, satellite radio, and a 10-speaker stereo. Two additional USB ports are also available, along with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for the driver.

    4. SAFETY SYSTEMS

Every 2022 Outlander has advanced safety systems. These include a forward-collision warning system, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot monitor, rear collision warning, and rear automatic braking. Automatic high-beam headlights also come standard with every trim, along with a drowsy driver monitor, a rear-seat alert, pedestrian detection, and automatic frontal collision warning. Even more safety systems are available depending on the trim. You can get front parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a road-sign recognition system. A head-up display is also available.

    5. INTERIOR FEATURES

Mitsubishi made sure to upgrade the materials and design of the 2022 Outlander’s cabin. Passengers in the first two rows have some extra room for their hips and legs, and you’ll get more cargo space than in previous models. The SE offers suede fabric with black trim, and the SEL has quilted leather upholstery with aluminum trim. Adding the Touring Package gets you heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and upgraded fabrics.

The new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has improvements inside and out. The new sleek exterior design will turn heads, and passengers will enjoy the modern, well-appointed cabin.
